And Life Goes On...

Dear Readers,

Big apologizes for being gone forever without a word. I have been real busy with lots and lots of changes (good changes) that have been happening lately in my life. I am currently in the USA for my marriage and my permanent stay.

Frankly, I am happy I am finally out of this god damn hell called "Egypt". Everyday passed while I was still there was as slow as a snail, counting the days by the hour, minute and second till I finally got on plane and just flew away. It been real boring, HOT (I hate heat), people are getting more sick being so strict and fanatics and they don't talk without arguing with you about anything you would have to deal with them about. Most of them just had no manners nor a way of knowing how to talk with you politely and aggressively. It was just getting worse and worse. That was one of the reasons I mostly stayed in doors not wanting to go out and deal with strict cretins. Hopefully Egypt and its government burns in hell soon. Oh well, now that I am in the US, I am a lot happier, more relaxed and feeling SAFE. [taking a deep breath]

Hope you're all well.

Why sad? Everyone who gets their chance to get out of this hell should be happy.

I wish you all the best there, Michael.

Regards from a happy girl here.

I am not bothered at all. On the contrary, I am pretty happy to be where I am. It's just that there are idiots everywhere on this crazy planet who can't be happy for your happiness. Probably because they can't find their own anywhere so they try to frustrate people with their idiotic shit.

Cretins! ;)

Hey Girl,

I held your hand while they put in the stitches that last night of Ramadan, that should give away who this is. I smile to think that you escaped. A million congratulations, don't even THINK of returning to this hell. I hope life in the USA treats you better, I know the people will!! :)

I myself am finally about done being here. I've been in numerous fights since that night, and have a badly bruised and black wrist and hand from a recent fight. Still, the guy's head looks worse! :) I'd rather get bruised fighting than just take shit from these pigs. I know you feel the same.

So. Eat some awesome mexican food for me, tell Joe I say hello and I send all the best wishes and love to you both.

Your old friend,
R.

PS - I finally understand why Muslims consider it so 'haram' to eat pork - it's because cannibalism is forbidden too!

Not all the Egyptians are pigs, Anonymous. You're insulting all the Egyptians this way. Remember, I am still an Egyptian (until I become a US citizen ;) ), so is my family. And my family weren't bad to you AT ALL nor was I. Some Egyptians are good, some are bad, and many in-between.

Thank you for congratulating me for being finally out of hell though. I hope life is treating you well. Avoid the bad Egyptians and enjoy the rest of your stay in Egypt. :)

Its very sad to me that you feel unsafe in your own country and have hatred towards your government. You are not alone. Many people in the United States do not agree with the government and cannot change the way the government is run. Violence against women is also common in the United States and many women feel unconfortable walking home even in the smallest cities. Your blog shows a issue that many women face throughout the world.
